1167 Noxon Road has always been farm land. It has changed hands several times, and from 2004 to 2012 many people knew it as Dragon Fly Nursery.
Have you ever wondered how success comes together? How opportunities grow? This is a great example. In the October 2011 snow storm, the pressure from the snow started crushing the roof where Easternview Landscaping was located. This provided the drive for Carmine, the owner of Easternview Landscaping, to search for a new location. At the same time the owners of Dragon Fly Nursery were looking to sell their property. Carmine found this a great opportunity to start a new venture and to provide stock for his business, so he took it. In the process, he saw an opportunity not only to continue to provide plant stock for the community with Easternview Nursery, but also an avenue to stimulate the economic growth of the Hudson Valley. The result- Easternview Nursery and Dutchess Hops- the first commercial hops farm in the region.
